This is the first day of music class in term 4. Today I came late to the music room because my physical education teacher, which is before this music class, dismissed us late. And then Mr. Herry continue the class by discussing the role of music in the society for our assignment of making it into 5 pages report. In the report, we have to include the background of the survey that we will do, the objective of it such as how did we do it, the fact where it also including the evidence of the survey and the conclusion of it. The report will be due next week. Then we discuss about the term 4 task booklet. Mr. Herry show us one example for the jingle music and he also show us the video of coca-cola advertisement. After that, Mr. Herry let us listen to the example from the last grade 10 project about the jingle music. Mr. Herry tell us about the individual task on jingle music creation using the finale software that we have to create 16 bars of our own jingle on May and by next week we have to submit the draft of it. At last we can practice for our jazz group performance.
Instrument Class
Actually, this is not the usual instrument class because the time is use for practicing the group performance. While gathering with my group, all of the members tried to play Fly Me To The Moon song together. The others are playing quite well but there’s still a problem in the piano, Victoria have tried to learn it but still can’t and I can’t do it either so we have to fix it as soon as possible. Today Mr. Harry our supervisor for this group performance is absent so as soon as he come back, I have to ask him about this and ask for his help to solve the problem in piano.

First of all, Mr. Herry start the class by checking who have submit and who haven’t submit the Music Developmental Workbook. After that, Mr. Herry distributed the paper as an example of jingle. Then we discuss about the jingle like what is the connection to the real life and how can we make the jingle that are related to the business in our business class. In the example paper, they use four instruments and the composer of this jingle only uses four different chords. Mr. Herry said that later on we have to create 16 bars of jingle. I think this example that are given today will help me to make my own creation of the jingle.
Instrument Class
For the first 10 minutes, Mr. Herry tell us to go to our original instrument class so it means that I’m having my piano class. Mr. Herry want to know about our progression for the group performance, are we prepared or still need more time to practice or even some help from him. In the group performance, Victoria and I played the chords of Fly Me To The Moon that had been written down in our music book. Then Mr. Herry asked us to play it in front of him. After that, Mr. Herry give us feedback and he suggest Victoria to hold after changing each of the chords and I play the beat of the song. Mr. Herry also change some of the chords and then he let us to gather with the group to practice together again. While gathering, we practice several times to play the song all together.
This is the second video that I have recorded while I’m playing the piano in term 4. In this video, I’m practicing again to play the chords of Fly Me To The Moon. This time, I already got the feedback from Mr. Herry and he make my part for playing the chords easier than before. I have to play the chords but only for the beat of the song. So this time I think I have make a better video in compare to the last video. However, I still got stuck in the middle and sometimes still confuse what to press for the next chord.
