Today first of all I come to the class a little bit late because my last session is physical education class that takes place outside the school. Due to the reason that two of my friends haven’t do the solo performance yet in playing the blues melody composition that they have make it before. The two people are Jeffrey Koby and Ju Yeop Lee, I enjoyed their performance and I think they have done a good assessment. After that, we decided the group for the next assessment that is the group performance playing one song. The songs are I Got Rhythm, Summertime and All of Me. We were divided into three groups and each group will play one song that is different from the other group. My group members are me, Victoria (piano) then Ivan, Jeffrey Pribadi (woodwind) then Frederik, Marcus (violin) and also Marco, Lee (guitar). My group got I Got Rhythm song but we change it to Fly Me To The Moon and all of our members agreed. And after that we can go to the instrument class.
Piano Class
One of my friends wants to do the make up test for the singing assessment and that is Emily. I’m listening to Emily singing Fly Me To The Moon. After that Mr. Herry give us comment or feedback about how can we improve on our singing performance next time. Piano is a good basic to learn the tone in singing, that’s what Mr. Herry, said to us. Then Mr. Herry give us example of chord nine, eleven, etc. And it’s the end of the class.

Today first of all Mr. Herry check our attendance and also our resources that we bring to the class. After that, Mr. Herry give us the reflection paper about the assessment of writing our own12 bars blues melody. Then we continue the class, Mr. Herry explain to us about the group performance such as what should we take part in playing the song is it either we do the melody, accompaniment or the bass and things like that. Then it’s for us to have lunch but then Mr. Herry haven’t done yet with the explanation of the chord seven, chord nine and so on. So Mr. Herry asked us to come back to the music room after we have the lunch break. However, we are late a little bit for our lunch. After we have our lunch break, then Mr. Herry asked us to sit in our groups and then he gives us the melody and chord of our songs. Then we write it down too in our music book. After that, Mr. Herry also explain to us about the chord symbol. It took around 20 minutes to explain that things and at last we can go to our instrument class.
Piano Class
Mr. Herry teach Victoria and me to play the accompaniment of Fly Me To The Moon. Although Mr. Herry have told us the chord but then it’s really hard for me to know the notes of that chord. Mr. Herry teach both of us on how to play the right hand of the song but then I feel it’s so hard to do it. I think I still need more practice on it because I didn’t really good in playing chords. And that’s all for today’s class.
This is the fifteenth video that I have recorded in term 3. In this video, I’m practicing the melody of Fly Me To The Moon song. I only play the right hand because I still confuse with the left hand. However I think I played it well because the melody of the song sounds good enough to be listened. In the next video, I’ll try to play the chord of it and hopefully I can do it well.
This is the sixteenth video that I have recorded in term 3. In this video, I’m practicing to play Fly Me To The Moon song again but this time not the melody of the song. But then I’m trying to play the chord of it. I only play the chord with my right hand and I also didn’t play it well because I still a little bit confuse on how to play the chord of the song. I think I still need more practice to play it.
