First of all, Mr. Herry write what will we do for today in the white board. After that, he called us one by one to check our attendance and also to collect the twelve bars blues melody that have been printed in the Finale. Many of my friends haven’t ready to submit their work by now then Mr. Herry said that we can submit the soft copy by email tonight and submit the hard copy tomorrow, however Mr. Herry said that it will be better if they can make to submit it today. Then, Mr. Herry asked us to take out the Assessment Schedule and he also distributed the MYP Learning Plan and Task Booklet. After that, we start to do the rehearsal to perform our twelve bar blues that accompanied with the chord from the keyboard. We do it in groups of instrument where all the guitar students come together to the front and each of them played their own melody then continue to the next person. Next is piano, we divide it into two groups so three people at a time. And then the woodwind group where four people coming together to the front and last is the violin group where all of them also come together to the front. After we done with the rehearsal then we can go to instrument class.
Piano Class
Due to the limited time that we have for this class therefore Mr. Herry asked us to share the three pianos for six people. Then we practice playing our own creation melody with the accompaniment from the keyboard so when our partner where we are sharing the piano is playing the melody, then the other partner played the chord of it and we are practicing this for several times. And at the end, all of us play our own melody at the same time along with the accompaniment from the keyboard.

Today we do the assessment of playing our own blues composition. All of us will do the assessment with the accompaniment chord from the keyboard. First of all, we start the assessment from the piano group. There are six of us and then we come to the front together, sharing the three pianos for six people so two people share in one piano. Like in the practice last time, the partner who sits next beside us will play the chord as the other partner play the melody. I think I do the assessment well done and overall the piano group has performed a good assessment. After that, we continue with the guitar group. I think they played it well although sometimes the sound is not loud enough. Next is the violin group, there are five people but they divided into two groups because they played in different key. Juan and Ais played their melody in C but then Marcus, Frederik and Dwi played it in different key, which is not C. The violin played quite well but sometimes they didn’t know where to start and late to finish playing because they said that the tempo is too fast. And the last is from the woodwind group. They do the assessment well done and they come one by one to the front because all of the three people there played in different key. As soon as we finished the assessment, it’s time for lunch and we have our late lunch break. Due to the reason that we have the lunch break late for ten minutes therefore we come back to the music instrument class at 13.40 that is ten minutes after the usual lunch break end.
Piano Class
Mr. Herry said that due to the reason we have just finished the assessment then he give us time to relax. So, basically today we just watch the video from youtube about the famous people who played jazz music very well in the piano. Mr. Herry said that everyone have their own style to perform their improvisation of the jazz music. After that, Mr. Herry also asked us about the group performance for the next task that is performs as a group playing the jazz song. He asked whether we want to make the group with the same instrument or mixed. Then Mr. Herry give us example of the song that we can choose to perform such as I got rhythm and summertime and he also give us the piano sheet of the summertime song. At last, that’s the end of the class and we can go home.
This is the thirteenth video that I have recorded in term 3. In this video, I’m practicing my own creation of the twelve bars blues melody. This is the first time I practice to play this melody that’s why I still make mistakes and stop in the middle of the melody. I think I need more practice to make it better.

This time, I have practice for many times before I recorded this video. I didn’t stop in the middle of playing the melody and I also didn’t make any mistakes. And I think that’s why this video is better than the previous video.
